Oh the forgotten

I knew that I would forget someone on my list of cool music.  If you are into Americana at all (which I hope you are, it is a wonderful form of music) check out Will Kimbrough.

He is an amazing songwriter, and one of the best guitarists I have ever had the luck to see.

I think what made me think of missing him is that I am currently listening to an old country/americana radio station, sipping coffee, and pretending I am living on a back porch somewhere in the swamp land in tune with nature.  But here I am in a concrete jungle, in a windowless office sipping coffee and listening to the world.  

I just recently got back from Va.  I wish I could say that I found all sorts of great musical things out there, but the deafening sounds of F-18's flying overhead kind of distracted me from the real goods.  

So what is up with you, what are you listening to?  Are the F-18's distracting to you as well?
